October 29, 2011 Comments Off

Argentina is unique in that it covers a vast amount of different landscapes providing a great look at the flora and fauna that is native to a great deal of different climates and terrain.

From the lowlands and grassy plains, you can see grazing animals like the pampas deer, anteater, and maned wolf. As you move south, you can find native animals such as the cougar and the world’s smallest deer; the pudu. The wildlife along the coast is also abundant and also varies from dolphins and whales to trout.

The steamy jungles are some of the world’s most abundant areas for plant and animal life. The whole story can be found at http://geopatagonia.wordpress.com/2010/08/09/more-facts-about-condors/ From the jaguar, cougar, and ocelot to the capybara, bush dog, and raccoon, there is a huge amount of animal life here ranging from turtles and tree frogs all the way up to the predators like the cougar.

Argentina also has snow-capped mountains which make as great home for the llama, fox, and the Andean Condor. With such a lush country filled with several different equatorial regions, it’s no wonder that Argentina has some of the most unique and plentiful habitats in the entire world. There are some species that are only found in Argentina as well as those found around the world, making it a great place to study the flora and fauna of many different regions while remaining in one country.
